Synopsis:
Get Hooked is a 6-part documentary series that explores how six underrepresented Canadian anglers use fishing to benefit their mental health. Through the POV of a comedic group of queer outsiders against the backdrop of stunning Ontario landscapes, Get Hooked celebrates the mental health benefits of fishing and asks why they aren't accessible to everyone.
Episode Synopsis:
Addictions counselor, Frank Leaney, and the group target pike in kayaks on Petrie Island at the Ottawa River. They discuss the importance of goals and community while navigating sobriety.
