Synopsis:
April 6, 1994. A day like any other turned into an apocalypse for the Rwandan people. In Kigali, Valentine and Jean-Claude, a couple of young parents, face the threat of a mass hecatomb over their entire country. With the help of several people, they multiply their attempts to flee the country with their baby to escape the worst. "Ibuka, Justice" is an animated, poetic rendering of the crucial moments of this odyssey, narrated by Jean-Claude and Valentine and imagined by Justice, their now grown-up child.
6 avril 1994. Un jour comme les autres s'est transformé en apocalypse pour le peuple rwandais. À Kigali, Valentine et Jean-Claude forment un nouveau couple de jeunes parents lorsque la menace d'une hécatombe de masse s'abat sur tout leur pays. Avec l'aide de plusieurs personnes, ils multiplieront leurs tentatives de s'évader de leur région avec leur bébé pour échapper au pire. « Ibuka, Justice » est une restitution animée et poétique des moments cruciaux de cette odyssée narrée par Jean-Claude et Valentine et imaginée par Justice, leur enfant devenu grand.Nominees:
