The King in Canada: Speech from the Throne
Synopsis:
On Charles III's first visit to Canada as King, he did what no sovereign had done in nearly half a century: deliver the Speech from the Throne. As Canada's sovereignty is under threat, Canadians learned the priorities of their newly-elected Carney government, delivered by the Monarch himself. Chief Political Correspondent Rosemary Barton led special coverage of this historic day on location. CBC News Studios produced the 18 camera live host feed.
