Synopsis:
By 2050, the number of people aged 65 and older is expected to double. As our populations age and more young people move away from their birthplaces, traditional safety nets – family and community – are proving inadequate to support the growing elder demographic. At the same time, due to the world becoming increasingly more digital, traditional letter mail delivery has also significantly declined. To both support the elderly and rethink a dying national postal system, some European and Asian countries have reinvented the jobs of postal workers.
