Synopsis:

Set in Toronto at the dawn of the 20th century, Murdoch Mysteries is a one-hour drama series that explores the intriguing world of William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson), a methodical and dashing detective who pioneers innovative forensic techniques to solve some of the city's most gruesome murders.

Episode Synopsis:
At an antiquities lecture, Watts learns of Margaret Brackenreid's support for a gala fundraiser for a new museum. Leading the charge is historian James Chaney, who promises to showcase the world's largest ruby at the event. To protect it, he's devised a burglar sensor with a designated telephone at the stationhouse. However, a canny thief manages to by-pass the system and crack the vault. Fortunately, Dr. Elise Tremblay informs Murdoch and Chaney that the priceless gem's delivery was delayed. Certain another attempt is imminent, Choi has Murdoch assemble a team to safeguard the ruby, which proves a formidable task.
